Hartford Youth Sport Collaborative

The Hartford Youth Sport Collaborative (HYSC)  is a collective of Hartford based youth-serving sport organizations who have come together to improve the quality and accessibility of organized sports and recreations programs across the city. We hope to build collaborations and partnerships that will have a city-wide impact in advancing and sustaining the sport-based youth development landscape in Hartford.

The HYSC consists of organizations that have been committed to providing Hartford youth with quality sport programing for many years. We hope and expect to bring more organizations, coaches, and community members to the table as we continue our work. This program focuses on teaching young athletes the fundamental skills of baseball through structured drills and positive mentorship in a fun, community-driven environment. It aims to build both on-field confidence and a lifelong love for the game while emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship.

Hartford Girls Sports ClubBasketball (Girls Travel Team)

Hartford Girls Sports Club is hosting a Middle School Travel Girls Basketball Team. Competing in the statewide Inspire League this spring, players will face travel teams from across Connecticut while developing their skills, confidence, and leadership on and off the court — all skill levels and experience are welcome, if you are just starting out this is a great place to learn. The season will culminate with a championship tournament at the University of Hartford in early May!

Developing the Future Autism SportsBasketball

Beginners recreational basketball for students on the Autism Spectrum. It will incorporate beginners basketball skills and provide an opportunity to acclimate themselves to socializing with other students on the spectrum. Youth who are on the autism spectrum ages 14-21. Botnick TrainingBasketball Strength & Conditioning

Basketball and life skills program. Focusing on basketball skill development as well as life skills. Players will be guided on the court as well as off the court focusing on life skills such as social and emotional skills and academic skills.

Charter Oak Boxing AcademyBoxing

Amateur boxing training offered for youth ages 8-19 from 4:30-8:30 pm M-Fridays.  All skill levels available.  Prior boxing experience not needed. Our program also includes weekend trips to participate in boxing competitions and sparring events with other youth boxing clubs.  Also, every child/youth participant can simultaneously enroll in our other educational programs, which include small business training, life skills workshops, leadership development, supportive counseling and summer outdoor learning.  The latter entail recreational trips to state parks for hiking, canoeing, rock-climbing, camping and swimming, as well as a 4-day wilderness expedition on the Appalachian Trail.

Hartford's Proud Drill Drum and Dance CorpDance & Drum

Hartford’s Proud aim to provide a positive, non violent, and safe environment where youth can build relationships and be exposed to broad experiences and opportunities through music, dance, and the arts so that they excel academically, socially, and artistically throughout life. They provide basic dance lessons designed to teach foundational techniques, rhythm, and coordination in a structured and engaging environment. Participants will also engage in team-building activities that strengthen collaboration and improve memory through movement, repetition, and interactive learning exercises.

Hip Hop Freestyle with CT MonaeDance - Hip Hop Freestyle

This youth hip hop dance class introduces youth ages 10–18 to a variety of new-school Hip Hop styles (led by CT Monae with special guests from the international Hip Hop scene). Hosted at Parker Memorial Community Center, the class builds confidence, musicality, and self-expression through movement, culture, and creativity.

HOOPWAVE is a grass roots organization who increase youth strive in life through the Prinicipal of Basketball. On of the Court we model character development and fundamental basketball training. Program training is comprehensive, and targets measured improvements in running, jumping, shooting and hooping in a safe and fun environment.

Hartford Soccer Club (HSC) is a youth soccer non-profit based in Hartford CT with the purpose of providing youth soccer at all levels at an affordable cost.  HSC runs programs for ages 3 to 15 at four different levels Soccer Basics, Recreational Soccer, Travel, and Premier.  Hartford Soccer Club offers soccer for all levels of youth players in Hartford so they can enjoy and improve at their own level. No player is ever turned away due to lack of funds.

Capital City Track ClubTrack & Field

Capital City Track Club (CCTC) is a year round community-based program offering track & field training and competition for boys and girls ages 7 -18 years old.  CCTC is a Club Member of USA Track & Field (USATF) and the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). Their Members compete against local and regional athletes of the same sex and age with the anticipation of qualifying for National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships.
